A memorable ceremony is always well planned, and a well-planned ceremony is always memorable

Over the years I have honed my process to the five steps you will find below.

After deciding on a date for your wedding and a venue for where it will take place we can set up a time to meet in person or virtually to get to know each other and talk about working together. This is where I will describe to you what goes into a civic wedding ceremony and how it all works. Then you share with me your thoughts and ideas about your ceremony.

I need to know what kind of ceremony you wish to have, whether you want it to be formal, informal, serious or humorous, romantic, to the point, long or short or somewhere in between.

At that point, we make the decision on how best to proceed. When you decide to go ahead, I will ask for a deposit to confirm your date.

"From our first meeting with Gail, to begin preparing for our special day, it was very clear that she had the knowledge and professionalism to meet our expectations!”

My 5-step process

At the initial meeting, we will get to know one another and discuss how you imagine your wedding ceremony coming together. This takes approximately one hour.

If we decide to work together a deposit will lock in my time. This will make sure that your wedding date is in my calendar and I am committed to working with you before and on the day of your Wedding.

You will then receive my planning guide that clearly sets out all the things involved in customizing your ceremony, including the decisions you will make prior to our second meeting. Between meetings, I will be available to answer any questions you may have via text or email. We’ll decide on a date for our second meeting.

Once your plan is complete (usually two weeks prior to your wedding), we’ll have a second meeting to review and finalize everything. This includes all the details that will make your nuptials special and meaningful for you both. This meeting takes approximately one hour.

Whether or not to have a rehearsal prior to your actual wedding day is entirely up to you. This can help to calm everyone’s nerves in advance of the real event. If you choose to have one, (if available) I am willing to attend and help with the order of things at no additional charge.
